Avisen Legal Fellows work closely with the members of the Avisen Legal practice groups to develop content to be shared with others. Our lawyers are thought leaders in their various areas of practice and as such they regularly produce written materials to be of assistance to business owners, other lawyers and even law students. Avisen Legal Fellows have the unique opportunity to gain practical exposure to various areas of the business law at the same time they develop their practical writing and communication skills.
Emilee is our first Avisen Legal Fellow alum! She is a second-year student at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy and Treasurer for the Law Student Government. Emilee recently became the Gherty Family Scholar in Ethical Leadership for her work with the Holloran Center at St. Thomas.
Emilee earned her B.S. from Truman State University, where she also played collegiate volleyball. She previously enjoyed coaching youth volleyball and hopes to return to it soon. Emilee volunteers through Street Law, a program designed to connect law students with high school students. Emilee is also looking to plan a worldwide cactus trivia competition so she can crown herself the Supreme Cactus Champion - seriously, ask her for a cactus fact.
